My Louisiana didnít transplant well, but it was a bad transplant, some roots broke off during the process, and the pot I originally tried to put in was too small. That was back in Fall of 2015, it lost half of its fronds almost immediately.
It did nothing at all during 2016, and then it died out this summer in July. I thought it was a goner and thought nothing of it, but it came back in August with part of frond and a new spear. Itís still chugging along, slowly, I doubt that new spear will open up this year though. Hopefully it picks up speed, my Kentias grow faster, and those are slow as molasses.
I suspect yours should be fine with a large enough rootball. Good luck.
