My sheers are for kitchen purposes like cutting the backbone out of chickens , etc. , but I found that they cut frond tips well and Yucca tips . It's nice just to cut away and not have to worry about the plant leaf slipping away and having to hold it taut when cutting . It makes trimming stuff up really fast .
