Thanks Stan! Sorry to hear about your Alocasia. It probably would be happier in a pot. I am starting to rely on containers as well. It's easier to keep an eye on plants when they are in pots (but very hard to water them frequently enough to keep them happy here, even with the daily rain).
The last plant is a Golden Dewdrop (Duranta erecta). I'm told they stay green through light freezes which is pretty nice!
