It was about as windy as a moderate cold front and with that I couldn't be more pleased, the generator was ready to go. Nothing more than a spit of rain but nobody here is complaining.
Deep south Texas looks like it will be out of the primary disaster zone, though there are tropical storm warnings for us again for Monday and Tuesday (?!).
Right now this is just your pretty "typical" Category 4 hurricane with a thorough - but contained - area of devastation in the Coastal Bend area. But if the more dire NWS predictions hold up it could turn into something much worse.
