My 2 McCurtains are amazingly scale-free - yet they are growing right in my hummingbird garden, which has all sorts of insects - none of whicvh I ever combat in any way. It could be that, in the presence of so many nectar-producing plants, the scale leave my minors alone in preference to other better food sources, close at hand? Or else, maybe I have a good supply of scale predators... whatever they are?
