I almost lost my minor to scale. I tried rubbing alcohol and coffee grinds with marginal success. I just kept at it and now it only has two fronds and it might never recover, but at least the scale is gone. I'll have to see how it looks when I visit my family in November. Luckily I haven't seen scale down here in my yard, but whiteflies are prolific here on everything but the palms.
