I understand completely the wild variations of microclimates in the West coast and was aware of high temps possible in Oregon. I just wonder, since the Fukushima story has been completely buried, what effect the constant ejection of radioactive waste pouring into the Pacific for years may have on the climate. It would make sense that it might cause warming of the waters, radioactivity has now been detected on the Pacific US coast, and I have heard much talk lately about the warm Pacific and it's relationship to weather patterns.
