Both P. caroliniana and P. lusitanica are borderline in my region.
I would guess though that Prunus caroliniana would have fewer issues since it's a US native. Expect some twig dieback in cold winters as well as some defoliation -- especially in sun and exposed sites.
Pittosporum is not hardy in zone 7a. Trachy either although it can survive a number of mild years.
Photinia is easy.
