are normally on the dry side and in the interiors away from the coast rather warm to hot as well. these kind of conditions are actually a normal part of the dry summer/"Mediterranean" type climate that we have (especially in Oregon) though certainly we are going through an especially HOT period for the next couple of days in the interior valleys (106-107 on thurs. predicted for Portland for example)and to a lesser degree the coast (70's, low 80's here in Bandon supposedly).
