It's hard for me to imagine armadillos NOT being everywhere. They are so common around here (and have been for my whole life) that I forget that they are still in the process of a vast expansion of their range which has been going on for a long time now.
They are in a constant battle with skunks and opossums in Oklahoma...to be the number 1 roadkill animal in the state.
p.s. if you ever need to trap any that are tearing up your yard, I can tell you a good method.
