L. lucidum is invasive in the Southeast. Not a problem up here in Mid-Atlantic because it's not totally hardy. LOL! I have a 'Davidson's Hardy' that I'm trialing here and if it does well, it may soon be invasive in the Mid-Atlantic! LOL!
Prunus lusitanica does OK in my yard. It's getting big. Didn't realize it would be this big so soon. I can get some of the maladies common to plums though, so probably not the best choice for this area.
Daphniphyllum is an underutilized BLE for part shade that is completely hardy in my yard.
