I don't think they do. Like Mississippi and Arkansas, Memphis is under-planted as far as palms go compared to climate being a Southern 7b/8a. In the more rural, Cotton belt, poorer South, you would be surprised how long you can go without seeing one. I drove all around Montgomery looking for a source for large Needles and saw 1 trunked palm. It was a pindo in front of a hotel. Imagine what they could grow there. Jackson, MS has some palmettos and sagos but there really aren't that many outside of there to the north.
