Today I found several flag leaves with standard leaves under them on my Alocasia Calidora 'Persian Palm'. So they must not all be immediately followed by an inflorescence. A few weeks after the first flag leaf showed up last fall it began blooming.
Yah...I'm getting roughly a 30-40% increase per leaf on my Elephant Ears since mid May.
If that's your place in the earlier google st view, is there a name for the narrow-'widthed' clapboard siding? I like that and haven't seen it before.
