I haven't seen any Embothrium down here. Regardless of the climate of preference, plants that like acidic soils generally do not do well here (strangely, the soil on Table Mountain at Cape Town, South Africa is acidic, and that's where the silver tree is from, which climatically should do well here but instead usually struggles because it's picky about our soil and alkaline water).
Stenocarpus sinuata is occasionally planted here and is definitely desirable (whether or not in bloom). I don't think I've seen Telopea here--if it's grown here, it's rarely so.
