Correct. Most just fall into complacency...orlando hasn't been below freezing in 4-5 years. People like me just like to push the boundaries. There were several survivors in 2010 mostly around the lakes when it fell into the mid to upper 20s a couple nights. The problem is mine is getting so big that a death will mean I'll have to do some work to take the stump out. But I'm hopeful
I was told the owner of this palm used heaters on those cold nights in 2010 probably when it was much smaller. Also helps to be downwind of the lake which only falls into the upper 50s in the heart of winter.
