This coconut is a mile down the road from me, about 2 miles from Orlando International Airport. I spoke with a nursery owner who knows the guy. He said he did protect it a few nights in 2010 (my understanding that was a pretty cold winter around here). This home is lakefront and on the SE side of an 1800 acre lake so it does get a bump due to microclimate.
I'd like to know the young palm they just planted. Any ideas? They also have 2 huge, healthy bottle palms at the front of the driveway.
