Interesting! I was in Bogota a few months ago and saw these Yucca in a few places. I didn't see too many palms which was a little disappointing. I thought that the climate there would be just right for many cold-hardy palms.
I was impressed by the calla lilies I saw almost everywhere, especially since I can't get mine to flower, and they have been in the ground for at least 3 years.
