I am so extremely impressed with container-grown palmettos here that I am looking for any source that carries them. They have made it through the vortexes, a record snowfall, etc. when other species have struggled. They grow very quickly and look amazing. I know that their hardiness can decrease once taller but I'm really enjoying them now. They love our heat which seems to actually weaken our windmills at times.
I do have two palmettos that were dug out of the ground (small) and obviously had to recover but they both did and are both looking amazing. I still would like to get more of the container-grown if anyone knows a source.
