Hopefully the banana plant gets its act together. I used to have MidKnight Blue in NY. A landscaper threw it away one year. I was so mad. I saw some in a yard down the block from me in NY and they came up for a few years but they are gone now so I think a winter eventually did them in. I am glad they come back for you. They are awesome plants.
And that's a good point about the rain. I am sure with all the cooler weather during a lot of those rain storms, it's easy for the plants to get bogged down in water. That was starting to happen down here earlier this month where the sun loving plants were turning yellow in the rain. Too much of a good thing is bad!
