I like our comfort index . It gets hotter in Arkansas and must be pretty rough in the summer .
I had a Braxoria that I nursed to health after it got scale , but I'm not sure why it died after one winter . It must have died during one of those winters a few years ago when it got down to 3F and 5F . I know how to protect them from that so it is my fault for forgetting to throw mulch high on the trunk during one of those cold nights . I may try one again if I find some space .
I used to love Waether Comparison " by the The Weather Channel I believe . It was so easy to check on temperatures .
I have never tried a Sabal Mexicana but I have palms growing here that are less hardy than a Mexicana . I figured I'd just stick with the similar looking Palmetto that might be a little hardier .
Accuweather has my average low in the coldest part of January as 30F and I average 89F during the warmest time in July . Accuweather has us averaging 12 days in July at 88F and 19 days at 89F .
