When people came to America they saw the Mississippi River freeze all the way down to the Gulf. Every mile of it was froze. They also reported many years ago that troops used many ice covered rivers in the east to walk on to advance.
We as Americans have been used to cold temps for over 200 years but is this REALLY normal?
Now reverse this and make it a Warm period over 200 years ago. No ice storms, No frozen rivers. No -2F in FL in 1889. No -11F in the middle of SC.
Then you would see our current temps as a cool period.
Those Tornadoes that come every year to the same locations would not be normal. Fast forward and lets say all the ice melted in the arctic.
Those Tornado locations would move FAR north. Tornado alley would be middle Canada.
