I agree about Sabal mexicana being a definate must-try. It gains hardiness with age and can be disappointing until it gains some serious size, but it is a whole lot better than Butia and Washingtonian filifera, for example, at least here. And man Sabals are by far the most rewarding palms to grow because they are so well adapted and fast here. I would plant from seed or potted plants for best results...
