Last month, I observed that the emerging spear on a juvenile Trachy had winter damage. So, I took a pair of unsharp snippers to cut it off. Because the dull snippers did not completely sever the spear, I hastily gave it a yank - and Lo and Behold, a total of 3 spears/leaves came out of the center of the plant. I have never seen this before. Then, I applied some copper-based fungicide into the rather large hole that had been the site of the emerging spear. The remaining 3 leaves continue to look reasonably healthy.
Do you all think that this Tracy will resume growing going forward? Thanks for any thoughts.
