Thanks Ben! I remember your papayas. They looked pretty amazing, but Oklahoma benefits from a really warm growing season which is perfect for them. Mine already had a head start since I planted it as a plant that was probably already a month old in March. They said that the variety I bought has both male and female blooms on it. I definitely took a leap of faith but hopefully they are right. It's so cool that yours from the supermarket all turned out to be female. That's lucky!
Some people have luck with papayas returning after the winter if it's not a very cold one, so if that happens I'll have a huge plant next year!
