I'm guessing you'd be better than a lot of people are, with all the pesticides and fertilizers that they use for that "perfect lawn" (and growing grasses that aren't suitable for the climate). Of course, out here in San Diego, where it's obviously a dry climate, it's a bad idea to have a green lawn--better to have xeriscaping, though really just about anything will use less water than a green lawn (even the jungle in my front yard).
