That's impressive! The whole landscape has a nice desert feel. My cactus doubles in size each year but I clip it back about 5 different times during the summer. I've clipped it back twice this season. It's actually about 30 years old and originally came from the Cape Hatteras dunes. More water results in more blooms for this one. Some people I know recently saw these and said they are good to eat. So I gave them a few pounds of new leaves and they cooked and ate them. Before they told me about that, I had no clue they are used for food.
