The cold won't escape NY either. It's been miserable up there. But my mom's been sending me pictures from the backyard and things are hanging in even though the warmth hasn't been there at all.
Here in Florida it's been extremely hot but recently it's getting a little more humid and the heat has been less extreme. It's weird how sometimes the hottest temperatures down here happen in May and the rainy season keeps things a lot more moderate (but more uncomfortable with the humidity).
June gloom is definitely real in California. But some plants really love that break from the sunshine!
