Thanks for your post Keith. I am always very grateful for all the sacrifices made by our fellow Americans and their families. I have three members of my family who fought in Operation Iraqi Freedom, and I am always very proud of their service.
I've never shared it here before, but I had the honor to serve as an officer in the USAF. When I lived in Oklahoma City, I was assigned to Tinker Air Force Base. I had the privilege of dispensing prescriptions to our active duty service men and women as well as retirees and their families. I was never asked to deploy to any overseas theater, but I was proud to provide medications, supplies, and instructions used by our war-fighters to protect them from chemical, biological, and radiological weapons (and malaria depending on where they were deployed)
I am proud I got to play my small role in keeping our troops safe. When I get a chance, I'll try to post some pics of some palms from Maxwell AFB and the Ft Sam Houston/Brook Army Medical Center campus. I never wanted to post anything about my specific employment while I was still a federal officer.
