Not sure what you mean by that.
Facebook is free and it's super easy to set up your own page. It has a few drawbacks, such as no ability for you to format text (bold
, etc) and that stinks. But super easy to upload photos from phone, computer, whatever. Posts are searchable. And if you belong to multiple groups (say a Cactus group, a Tropicals group and a Palms group), it's easy to switch from one to another quickly. Works well on smart phones. You can edit your posts and comments. Turn on or off notifications. Make public or private. It's rare to have rants because you have to join and other members are able to 'see' your profile.
I set up two Facebook groups.
One for Broad-leaf Evergreens in the Mid-Atlantic: https://www.facebook.com/groups/BroadleafEvergreens/
and one just on Hollies (Genus Ilex): https://www.facebook.com/groups/GenusIlex/
Annandale, VA,Zone 7A
The Genus Ilex (https://www.facebook.com/groups/963558637044181/)
