assume that this is the "university of California botanical garden" at Berkley as opposed to the one at UC Davis or UC Santa Cruz (each with very nice plant collections of their own) or several others in the UC system (UC Riverside, UCLA, etc.) throughout the state.
that said, UC Berkley has a wonderful garden with cool plants AND some nice plants for sale every day and at periodic special sales as you know. got several plants (persea indica, casuarina cunninghamii, for example) when I was down there last year and so far they have been doing well up here.
