Brad , they are a very tropical looking plant that I think you could have success with . It will be interesting to see how Tim's does in Wisconsin this spring . It'll also be interesting to see if iTim has any viable seed sprouting this spring . I know you are milder than Wisconsin but either by digging them up and putting them in the house or basement for the winter , like Tim does , or by protecting them in the ground over the winter , they may work well for you .
