I can imagine North Dakota's Chamber of Commerce's spin on that: "Once you're here 4 years, it's not that bad until it hits 25 below."
On a more serious note, this points up how blessed America is. In terms of weather, we got it all. We've got truly tropical islands. We got Arctic tundra. We have deserts where even cactus is challenged. And we have rain-soaked places. Something for every taste. The only unfortunate thing is that a lot of us are tied to where we live not because we think it's the ideal place, climate-wise, but because we have important family or employment ties.
