Sunday afternoon I was roaming from place to place taking pictures of fall foliage and lakes. It seems so were many others and all parking lots we full.
Well being true to the example set by my dear friend Carl, I often don't notice no parking, no trespassing, etc. signs.(He's led me astray for over 20 years.) Well again, many others were doing the same thing. We all parked along the narrow road wherever we could and there must have been 30-40 cars at that location. There would have been much more room if it hadn't been for so many no parking signs in the way. My wife stayed in the truck while I walked a good distance throught the woods to get photos. When I came out of the woods on the way back I noticed many of the cars had left. As I walked a little father I saw why. Two police officers appeared to be giving out tickets like shooting fish in a barrel. My truck with my wife and daughter in it taking a nap was about 5 vehicles ahead of the police car on the right. A frantic cell phone call to my wife saved the day as I told her to get out of there as the police were coming up the road from behind giving out parking tickets. She drove down the road and turned around and came back to pick me up. SHE decided that it was time to head back home.
