The grass will stay green until the ground freezes solid which varies from late November to late December depending on temperatures. Greens up again in late March to mid April.
Plus I fertilize my grass heavily so that helps it maintain its color and vigor a little longer.
Looks like I will be able to leave everything uncovered at least another full week. 35F is the coldest low in the next 7 days. Normal low is 29F now already.
