The palm doesn't appear to be threatened necessarily. Something is telling me decline. I sure hope not. Maybe a nutrient issue, but nutrient issues shouldn't be a problem where someone like you dotes on a palm. That's mentioned a lot here, but I never see it very much in my opinion with any palms I use or anyone that cares for their palm. I think the smaller fronds are indicator of decline myself. That's just me. I do wish you luck and will follow this thread to see what others think. It's just that anytime I've ever seen a palm put out fronds WAY faster than usual, I get concerned actually. That means a decline in overall health. The trunk is tapering it appears. I hope not! But if so, grab another, they are great palms. Best wishes Lisa!
