For anyone that lives in the Hampton Roads area, I bought today the above mentioned Mahonia for $32. Not bad, considering other nurseries around here are selling it for $70. Card on plant has it hardy to zone 7b. I really healthy looking shrub. Has small cluster of tiny yellow flowers on it currently. A very attractive looking and I think only people on this website could tell it is not a palm. Says to plant in part sun and grows to 3' X 4'. I think I will keep it on my sun porch this winter and plant in spring. It it was like zone 5 hardy, I would plant it now.
