Howard, the minors that I have put in the ground in October have been the healthiest and most vigorous in spring compared to same ones only planting in spring. I have only applies small amounts of potassium and lime.
Are you in Kenansville? if so minors are native to Duplin County, I wouldnt worry about a wet winter, the local ones are very happy partially submerged in winter.
