Blue pot palm question

My local Lowes still has a few of the blue pot palms for sale. I was thinking of buying a few (Needle and Sabal minor). But as it is late in the season do you think it's to late to try and plant them or should I try and keep them in the garage for the winter and plant them in the spring if they survive?
