I have been growing hardy palms outdoors in the Little Rock River Valley since 2003. I discovered the Hardy Palm and Subtropical Board shortly before my first palm planting which was a windmill palm. It is thriving today. My collection includes: Trachycarpus fortunei, Trachycarpus wagnerianus, Trachycarpus manipur, Trachycarpus nanus, Butia capitata, Washingtonia robusta, Sabal minor 'McCurtain County, OK', Sabal minor 'Warren, AR', Sabal louisiana 'OKC', Rhadiophyllum hystrix, and Serenoa repens (silver and green forms). Over the years, I have learned what grows in a cold Zone 8a. If you have questions about hardy palms or subtropicals, I will be happy to answer them.
