Ok - I watched the movie last night. I wanted to love it, but I just liked it. It was interesting to see how much Irving got into the deception once it started, and how it snowballed. And there were political implications that I didnt realize were connected to this. One of the things that was cool for me is that Irving was living in a town near where I grew up when he was doing this, and you can see that parts of it were shot in the town. Croton Falls is famous! Richard Gere did a good job, and Alfred Molina is quite good. Marcia Gay Harden is good as well, in a smaller part. And there are all those ugly 1971 clothes! Definitely worth a rental or pay per view. Maire
