CEPHALEXIN: This is a very good anitbiotic for skin and flesh infections, and in fact is one of the best "all-purpose" antibiotics you can find. It is also very easy to come by, and very inexpensive. Cephalexen only comes in oral form, and the dose is 15 mg per pound of body weight given every 8 to 12 hours, depending on the severity. If you are using a maintenance dose, give every 12 hours. If the case is severe, use every 8 hrs. A "must have" in every dogman's medicine cabinet.
