Unfortunately, really did NOT like this many aspects of it - and the scratchy artstyle did not help. What was the front page? An old magazine cover? Has it been made clear why Danny cannot speak of the miracle machine plotline? I don't recall the scene. The characterizations of Namor, Betty, and Surfer did NOT feel spot on. And the transition from last issue for Strange was NON-existant which was too bad because issue 4 was alright.
Focussing on the Iron Fist parts... It's good that he wasn't given a helment and join the team at the pressurized depths and wearing his costume was acceptably eccentric. Is anyone familiar with DONGXI who has partnered with Rand Industries? The timelapse of the Defenders finding the NAUTILUS to before, and after, Danny claiming salvage rights should have been noted. It was great to see the return of Jeryn to mainstream. The advertised return of Misty WOULD havebeen great IF their dinner did not disappointingly have romantic undertones (Tuvan Throat-Singers and all). What the heck?! Is Paladin chopped liver now? Immortal Weapons was also advertised but it was a brief, meaningless, mock-shock cliffhanger but reserving judgement on Fat Cobra's arrival (since he never named "HE" or said why Danny is to blame).
