Very well presented recap page for last issue.
The art felt TOO sparsely spaced.
Elektra played her role well. And the fact that her actions proved predictable made her handling enjoyably spot on. Too bad she didnt add a debilitating nerve pinch to her beleivable mano a mano.
Shroud did nothing much but recover and add a possibly notable vote for killing a supervillain.
Kilgrave's escape was laughable with belated and belittling F.I. crossover. And even though it was clearly shown for a seldom done change it was still cliche and/or too easy. Even Purple Man laughed about it.
Monster has a lame name and is basically copying Trauma from the defunct Initiative Program. However, his revealing each hero's fear was interesting. And the way he was defeated was a neat twist. He might even prove as interesting vs other heroes in future fight now that Trauma has been turned good and lost demographic interest.
Paladin and Gargoyle did nothing much for the story. Pal did give her a gun and Garg did not remove her fear.
Misty was handled okay. Not sure why she doesnt have a gun or why her arm blasters arent for stun purposes. Too bad she couldnt outrace the little kid to avoid a SECOND cliche villain gets away in the same issue. The downside she never really advanced the Heroes For Hire aspects of the title in any satisfying way. She has some unknown influence to sway Elektra and can recruit Isaac as an unknown gives readers nothing - and then she goes to do the job w/o help... and technically fails. Wonder if this will/should take away from the title...
I miss Dan.
