Acceptable as a What If story but NOT be 616! See Luke Cage in...

Nice cover (and as wraparound).
Hopefully by the intentionally silly, two page (&too long) framing sequence, for the 3 short stories, one can infer ifffffff this is intended at 616 that the facts of the story are verrrry skewed by the MU staff that exist in 616.
Nice title page.

Nice to get a new character in Ed Salazar (though mightve like D.W. taken out of Limbo for this role instead). Good Dancing with the Stars shot (though liked the costume, myself, and the show, GO Gilles!). Not familiar how NY political offices work (though am curious if a Borough President election should jive in some other way with JJJ as mayor).
Have to check the longboxes if Mr Infante was in PM&IF series but this trip down the (memory) lane w/Jess was a nicely done sequence and Dani in a toque a neat detail.
Nice montage buuuut this blatant attempt to set this tale in 616 current continuity makes the story feel so... WRONG. References to SI but not DR as proof. How can this fugitive walk the streets freely and run for political office too??!
Nice new character! He demands a 'new' first intro into the 616 MU. Reserving judgement on the new status quo/plot device to take Jessica out of the picture so Luke can always fight w/o her. She evidentally is all superheroine gung ho again after getting another taste of the action during SI

Nice fight sequence. Fun punning and kidding about him too. Good to see him fiiinally take up the name POWER MAN again.
page8:
Nice foil for Cage in Jeff Jeffers should he get his own title again.
page9:
Not crazy about this page. An (ex?)Avenger back to illegal breaking and entering (though standard P.I. procedure). Jessica not strong enough to fly Cage up to the window instead, before Ed. The tomaeto-tomahto schtick not translating well with loan/lone. Getting mixed up by them saying they live in NJ while the 1st page implies he does grocery shopping in NY (not to mention spend all their time in Buckys NA pad most of the time it seems).
page10:
Nice wrap up for a self contained story and muuuch nicer if a What-Iffish tale.
Want to comment on other current takes on Luke? How 'bout his showing in Marvel Adventures: Avengers 35...
