I've seen complaints that this issue was like a forgotten issue of Alias or that it shouldn't have been a flashback after the end of Secret Invasion but I loved it. Maybe the framing sequence was the flimsiest of excuses but the choice to do a final flashback made loads of sense. With Yu falling behind on SI8, thre was no guarantee that if 47 did have the first Dark Reign issue of New that it wouldn't precede SI and spoil things.

That said, as much as I rooted for Scott Lang during the Alias run, this was one of the best, most satisfying installments about the Jewel-Power Man relationship to date. Had to also love that Jessica was not first choice as a private investigator. The way she drank and screwed up her life back then, she wouldn't have been mine either...
