The cover. THE DARN COVER! How could they!! Waited all issue for this cool fanged Jaq scene that didnt show! Fortunately the issue appeased somewhat - though far from perfect.

Previously Page: In what Marvel comic did Excalibur end up on Avalon?

p1 This Dr Skrange looks possibly more threatening than Veranke. Is this the first time we've seen the SKrull Flag?

p2 Enjoying the displayed scope of this SI over the main title where it appears only over a couple of NY city blocks. Is this a new squadron of skrulls soldiers w/o the superhero powersets for a good reason?

p3 2Para and 3Commando Royal Marines and 1Royal Anglican and Black Knight vs the Armada to save a (strategic?) Bridge... that's it? Uhhhhhh... besides they can fly.

p4 Dane and Faiza chat. Learn the Ebony Blade seems returned to it's original curse. Learn nothing new about her though.

p5 Not even going to mention Spitfire other than this, out of spite or put her in the 'Moments Banner'.

p6 They really should have taken care of the human sympathizing skrulls like John Lennon Skrull. Doubt he even was programmed with a trigger word.

p7 "All right -- here they come." Very effective page.

p8 Should really try to commit these Avalon characters to memory. Good splash fight scene.

p9 What's behind door #1? More anticipation than watching Let's Make A Deal!

p10 Woah! Marvel mystic meanies emerge! Can only name a few unfortunately. Not good for the MU.

p14-16 Three pages to do it was a bit excessive but pretty darn effective imagery regardless! And let me get this straight. Pete opened doors in Avalon but cool flagged hero shows up by the Bridge in England?

p17 Guns instead of superpower blasts is still perplexing. But get the gist - they're in need of a calvary.

p18 Avalon characters can see through to Earth dimension?

p19-21 Fighting Dr Skrange. Well at least the Avenger blocked a shot. Terrible fight layout. The Ebony Blade attack was ANNOYINGLY not seen (just like you know who). Soldiers are crisped but Dane just gets knocked out. They're in need of a calvary too!
