Disappointment with how it was wrapped up. Had a bunch of jumbled thoughts not enthused about organizing ATM...

-specifically calling them the Heroes For Hire surprisingly did NOT feel right
-throw tradition out the window when whole draw of arc was the tournament never completed(?!)
-finally get a decent relevant cover but messy art inside
-so much effort into cleverly naming maneuvers
-pathetic shackles show HYDRA pawned
-not interested in ongoing adventures Immortal Weapons if they have to forgo their stations as respective City Protectors to wander the streets of mankind, get inevitably involved with the SHRA, and become the dysfunctional Immortal Weapons team
-Eighth City... hmmm... intriguing
-Iron Fist survives THAT?
He took over for heroes like Polaris, Nova, Cannonball and a touch of Green Lantern in that train scene
-"...my kind-of girlfriend(I guess)..."
-so, will the Randall Gate be a tourist draw now
-lots of action sequences that's be good in a good movie
-Xao's dive looks like from a movie scene can't place OTTOMH
-arc lasted too long
-good for Thunderer plus Davos ends up with a neat fate
-Marvel should have a name-the-girl contest
-unfortunately did not get a mother/son reunion panel for Jeryn
-the conclusion of the Wendell/Orson parallel (lengthy)story was (boring)wanting and Orson is revealed as... a jerk, destiny is all important but he chooses the life paths for other and does drugs to get by
-cannot see YuTi as a villain of any other current title hero ATM but expect flashing-eyes Xao's return
-Cage does nothing
but Misty does a great Dirty Harry
and Colleen does a beheading from the mouth up
For a preview of issue 15, how 'bout:
SCENE 1:
Open with a Rand/Knight kiss.
Look into each others eyes.
"Still a fugitive?", asks Misty. "Still SHRA supporter?", replies Danny.
Look into each others eyes.
"Guess my Heroes For Hire reunion is over. Take care, Misty. Gotta go, Luke and I have an alien situation to get back to." And with that Iron Fist jumps out the roof of her apartment building rendezvous.
Misty looks down disappointed and revealed in the background behind is a small cadre of Predator-looking alien drones currently deactivated in appearance. She mumbles, "Me too."
SCENE 2:
Fat Cobra, Bride of Nine Spiders, Dog Brother and Tiger's Daughter all fight in a free for all with generic threats and excellent action layouts. (Maybe 2 pages.)
SCENE 3:
Orson's daughter and Prince Of Orphans are shown looking on from atop what turns out to be the Tournament Arena. She questions, "... and this Battle of Tagteams is a sound strategy, from Earth, for me to teach my Army Of Thunder?"
"The Eighth City was not found during our brief stay but we did discover the marvels of the UCWF! Since our investigation was cut short and the Great Tournament has been cancelled, I thought this would serve as fair celebration while the Capital Cities are still aligned."
"It is! The Thunderer, as new leader of K'un Lun, has decreed the Randall Gate be sealed. Will the Immortal Weapons return to Earth? What of Iron Fist?"
"They have decided to return to their homes. And Daniel Rand has chosen to continue a personal journey at this time though he did ask me to deliver this gift to you." Aman hands over a small book.
"Is it a book of with more fighting techniques to discover?", she asks.
"No. A book of girls' names."
She smiles. "And did you also get a prize?"
Yes. Aman removes his card that was serving as a bookmark and looks at it. It is a Heroes For Hire card.
