Posted by Luke I thought this was another good issue but it unforunately had a few flaws. There was plenty of action to go around this time out, and once more we got to see Shang-Chi go all Master of Kung-Fu. Tarantula had a good showing too. I feel bad for Humbug, but I imagine that this will have something to do with what goes down with him during the "WWH" crossover comics. I really like how Colleen seems to care for him, like a big sister watching out for her kid brother sometimes. I think Col recognizes that Humbug's not a bad guy and just needs some guidance. I really like that. I also thought Shang-Chi shined character-wise in this comic book. The bit with him not wearing a shirt on the deck was great. There were some minor quibbles, such the jump from seeing Paladin, Shang, Cat, and Tarantula (whom I will now call "Chula") attacked by the bugs to Shang being at the bottom of the waterfall, which was a little confusing. Nothing major but I had to re-read a few pages to get the flow of things. But there was a major problem here, and I really hope it is rectified next issue: THERE WAS NO DEVIL DINOSAUR! You cannot promise Devil Dinosaur on the cover and not deliver! Don't get me wrong, I'm thrilled that Devil and Moon Boy are involved with this story -- moreso that it actually seems to make some sort of sense as to why SHIELD would want Moon. But dammit, I wanted some Devil Dinosaur and there wasn't any! The next issue had better be filled with Devil action or I'll get really hot! Don't toy with me Marvel!! RAAARHRGHHH! Ahem. Discounting that I am, how should I say this, a big Devil Dinosaur fan, this was a fine comic book which truly embodies a lot of what I want from a monthly comic purchase: it had action, pathos, characterization, a cliffhanger, made sense, and wasn't glum and depressed for its running length. This series just keeps on impressing me!
