: As anyone reading this board probably knows,
: "Heroes for Hire" #3 came out
: yesterday, and once again I found it to be a
: thoroughly enjoyable adventure.
: I very much liked the way that the team
: circumvented Paladdin and saved Captain
: America from SHIELD. Shang-Chi always
: thinks on his feet in addition to driving
: them into his opponent's body! I also liked
: Luke's reluctance at the Heroes for Hire
: being bounty hunters, showing his loyalty to
: the business he created in the first place.
: And as sad as this is, Humbug makes the best
: statement regarding Captain America's stance
: that I have read in a "CW" book
: Tarantula is developing into a very
: interesting character. She's obviously very
: gifted scientifically, but since we still
: know so little of her background it makes it
: difficult to get a read on her. She could
: wind up the breakout star of this book.
: The Skrull plot is also shaping up to be
: very cool. The Corporation's R&D department
: looked like it could develop weapons to
: battle the HFH for years to come (we can
: only dream)! This is a neat tie-in to the
: 90s "Cage" series for me, as it
: was a part of the Corporation which turned
: Luke's younger brother into Coldfire! And
: what do they want with Ricadonna?
: And as has been the case lately, we get the
: return of some past baddies! Ferocia (Fera
: if you're old school like me!), King Size,
: Flame, and Bluestreak all pop up as newly
: Skrull-ized agents of The Corporation, and
: they use their abilities to bust super-babe
: crimelord Ricadonna out of prison. It's
: good to see attention given to these
: characters, who are so obscure as to be
: blank slates with which to work. Should be
: interesting to see how that plotline
: Overall another enjoyable issue from the HFH
: crew. I'm enjoying this ride while it
: lasts, folks!
