Almost as if Cap isn't some sort of criminal or something. I'd think its a little more different than just casually calling up someone to invite them to the movies. This is someone who's breaking the law and as someone who's spearheading the program its your responsiblity to take them down. Like I said, I feel Tony was being quite generous in not just attacking them outright. No matter how you want to slice it, Tony came intending to talk and Captain America was the one who attacked him. Tony didn't shoot Steve full of repulsors and then say he wanted to talk. He was a little underhanded in tricking them but he did want to explain his position. I'd liken it as to someone luring you into a dark alley and then trying to ask you where is the bus stop which is when you stab him.

: one-shot. One place says it takes place
: prior to the fight in CW#3 and another says
: it takes place later on and is a
: "last-chance" kind of thing.
: take is that if you want to talk to someone,
: you do it. You either talk to the person
: directly and set up a meeting, or you get
: someone else to set the meeting for you. One
: thing you do NOT do is lure the person into
: a trap and hope he/she is not ticked off
: about it and is willing to talk to you
: first. Luring someone into a trap is not how
: you gain someone's trust. If some lured me
: into a trap, I would turn around and punch
: the sucker right in the face, pretty much
: what Cap did.
: It's kind of like this: if someone walked up
: to me and stabbed me in the shoulder with a
: knife and then asked me to talk with them
: about a problem, I would pull the knife out
: and stab them in the face in response. 524
